The Importance of Service & Maintenance: Keeping Operations Running Smoothly
|
|
Regular service and maintenance are the backbone of any efficient operation, ensuring
equipment reliability, safety, and longevity. Whether in renewable energy, manufacturing, or
wastewater treatment systems, proactive maintenance reduces downtime, prevents costly
repairs, and improves overall performance.
A well-structured maintenance plan includes routine inspections, predictive analytics, and timely
servicing to identify potential issues before they become major problems. Leveraging a
proactive maintenance mindset allows teams to optimize schedules and minimize unexpected
failures.
Additionally, well-maintained equipment operates more efficiently, reducing operational
expenses.
Investing in a strong maintenance culture enhances productivity while significantly
reducing downtime due to failures.
By prioritizing service and maintenance, businesses not only protect their assets but also
strengthen long-term sustainability and operational excellence.
Did you know that LWR offers a range of service, maintenance and process optimization
packages to help you keep your First Wave or Plant systems running optimally? Connect with me today to learn more!

Unlocking the Power of Treatability Testing: How LWR Helps Farms Optimize Solids and Phosphorus Removal
|
|
In today’s agricultural landscape, sustainability and efficiency go hand in hand. LWR is committed to helping farms maximize resource recovery, reduce waste, and enhance nutrient management. One of the most valuable services available is treatability testing, which allows farms to assess how effectively LWR’s system can remove solids and phosphorus (P) from manure before committing to a full-scale installation. Why Treatability Testing MattersBecause manure composition varies based on factors like feed, animal type, and storage methods, lab-based testing provides data-driven insights that help farms make informed decisions about nutrient management and water recycling.
The process starts when a farm submits a manure sample to LWR’s in-house lab, following proper collection and shipping procedures to maintain accuracy. Once received, Hailey, LWR’s environmental chemist, carefully analyzes the sample, measuring pH, conductivity, total suspended solids, total dissolved solids, and other key parameters. These tests determine how the manure will interact with LWR’s treatment process.
Next, the sample undergoes a scaled-down version of LWR’s manure treatment system, including solids separation and nutrient recovery. This provides a preview of system performance, showing how efficiently the farm’s manure can be processed. After testing, farms receive a comprehensive report detailing: - Percentage of solids removed
- Phosphorus removal efficiency
- Nutrient separation results
- Potential for water reuse
Making Smarter Investment DecisionsBy understanding how effectively phosphorus and solids can be removed, farms can: - Stay compliant with environmental regulations
- Maximize nutrient use efficiency
- Customize system configurations to fit their unique manure stream
- Make informed investment decisions before installing a full-scale system
Treatability testing gives farms confidence in LWR’s technology and ensures they maximize sustainability benefits while optimizing their resources. Get Started with Treatability TestingFarms looking to improve their manure management strategy can leverage LWR’s treatability testing for actionable insights before full implementation. Those interested in learning more can contact LWR today to see how treatability testing can help achieve sustainability goals.

MARS PLEDGES $27 MILLION TO HELP DAIRY FARMERS REDUCE EMISSIONS
|
|
|
Mars, Inc. has launched the $27 million Farmer Forward Program, a five-year initiative aimed at helping dairy farmers reduce on-farm emissions and implement climate-smart solutions. In partnership with Fonterra, this program provides funding for on-farm tools and technology, with eligible farmers receiving an average of $15,000 per year in cash incentives for meeting sustainability targets.
With manure management being a major source of methane emissions, LWR’s First Wave and PLANT systems offer a proven way to optimize nutrient recovery, reduce emissions, and improve water reuse—potentially making farms eligible for funding through this program. Less methane. More efficiency. Bigger financial returns.
This could be a significant opportunity for farms looking to enhance sustainability while unlocking new financial incentives. Explore how LWR technology can support access to this funding!
