LWR + 3DEGREES ARE TURNING MANURE INTO MONEY
|
|
|
LWR has partnered with global climate leader 3Degrees to successfully sell carbon credits from its First Wave system at Western Valley Farms (formerly Skyridge). This AI-powered project is an absolute game-changer for this dairy farm, reducing 46,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions while improving on-farm operations, boosting milk production, and strengthening neighborhood relations.
Through our collaboration with sustainability leaders like 3Degrees, these reductions are verified and sold as carbon credits to climate-conscious food brands looking to offset their own footprints. It’s real, measurable impact -
turning sustainability into revenue and helping build a more climate-smart supply chain.
Curious about how much your farm could earn? Reach out for a FREE carbon value assessment today to learn how much money is locked inside your manure!

LWR distributor, Figure 8
Environmental took to the stage at the California Dairy Sustainability Summit in
Visalia on March 25th to share how farms are turning methane reduction into revenue. They dove into how to access funding for methane-reducing
equipment - and how carbon credits are unlocking new financial opportunities for
dairy producers.

$280M SAYS IT'S TIME: WHY EFFICIENT WATER USE IS THE FUTURE OF FARMING
|
|
|
The USDA’s
recent $280 million grant to support farmers in the Rio
Grande Valley highlights just how urgent water management has become. As
producers face intensifying drought and resource challenges, it’s clear that
efficient, circular water solutions are no longer optional, they’re essential.
LWR’s
resource recovery technology transforms livestock waste into clean, reusable
water and valuable nutrients, helping farms become more resilient, sustainable,
and self-sufficient. This kind of investment signals a growing recognition that
the future of farming depends on smarter water, and LWR is delivering real,
working solutions today.
Curious how
LWR can work for your operation? Let’s talk!

LIGHTENING THE LOAD ON YOUR SOIL
|
|
Let’s talk about something every livestock
producer deals with: soil compaction. It’s one of those hidden
challenges that can impact your fields, from slowing water infiltration to
stunting root growth and ultimately cutting into crop yields.
But here’s some good news: one of the
lesser-known perks of LWR’s First Wave and PLANT systems is that
they actually help reduce compaction by cutting down the volume of manure you
need to haul and apply.
Fewer Passes, Healthier Fields
Raw manure is heavy and watery, and it takes a lot of trips across the
field with some seriously heavy equipment. Every pass adds pressure to your
soil. With LWR’s systems, solids are separated and nutrients are concentrated
into a smaller volume of liquid. That means fewer
trips and less traffic. And that translates directly into less soil
compaction. Your soil stays looser, your drainage improves, and over
time—you get better yields.
Smarter Nutrients, Better Results
Another
win? Nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus are packed into a smaller volume,
so you’re applying less liquid, but still getting the same crop-boosting
punch. That cuts down even more on field passes and also gives you a more
precise way to feed your crops. It’s a
win-win! Fewer resources used, less risk of runoff, and more of those nutrients
going exactly where they’re needed.
The Long Game: Healthier Soil
All of this adds up to better soil structure, stronger root systems, and
more active microbial life in the ground. In short, healthier fields and more
sustainable farming. If you're aiming to make every load of manure work harder while
protecting your soil, LWR’s manure treatment systems are built to deliver.
Fewer passes, less compaction, and better yields? That’s a future we’re
excited to build!

HOW WE'RE BUILDING SMARTER SOFTWARE FOR A MORE CONNECTED FARM
|
|
Technology in agriculture is evolving fast, and
at LWR, we’re evolving too! The pace of innovation has never been quicker,
especially with tools like artificial intelligence and machine learning
becoming more accessible. These technologies are helping developers like us
work faster, build better, and give users a more personalized experience.
As we build the upcoming MyPlant web
app, we’re combining modern tools to create a smart, secure, and scalable
platform. We're using Auth0 by Okta to simplify the login process while
keeping data secure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support our
growing system with stability and flexibility.
The app itself is built with React and Next.js,
two technologies that make it easier to reuse components across different parts
of the platform. That means we can create dynamic interfaces and offer faster
load times, resulting in a smoother user experience and even better visibility
in search engines.
We’re also tapping into tools like ChatGPT
to help shape our coding framework, speeding up development while allowing us
to customize the platform for real-world use. New technologies can feel
intimidating at first, but once you get familiar with them, they can make the
entire process more efficient and even more fun.
At LWR, we’re focused on using the right tools
to build software that’s secure, scalable, and designed to meet the needs of
our farms today and in the future. We're excited about where this technology is
taking us, and we can't wait to share more as MyPlant continues to grow.
